Defying Threats, I Will Keep Reporting for the People

Following multiple allegations of corruption and misconduct against Mahmud Hasan, the Acting Managing Director (MD) of Palli Daridro Bimochon Foundation (PDBF), the foundation’s employees staged a protest holding my photo in front of the National Press Club on September 27, 2025, in response to the investigative report aired by Ekattor Television. They attempted to mislead other media outlets and even issued subtle threats towards me.

Journalism is not a crime. I will continue my journalism for the people, no matter the obstacles or threats.

On September 25, 2025, I aired an in-depth investigative report exposing how Mahmud Hasan has been misusing his authority at PDBF. You can watch my stroy https://www.sushantaksingha.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=397&action=edit

Before the protest, PDBF employees held a press conference where they tried to defend the Acting MD, claiming that the Ekattor TV report contained false or incorrect information. However, they failed to substantiate their claims or provide any evidence to disprove the accuracy of the report. It was also revealed that bribes had been given to journalists and social media influencers to secure favorable coverage of their press conference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3czjuHRUKg

This incident highlights the significant challenges investigative journalism faces, as internal pressures, intimidation, and bribery often obstruct proper responses and investigations. Despite these threats and the protest, the issues of misuse of power and corruption at the government-funded PDBF remain unresolved. I will continue my investigative reporting to ensure accountability.
