It is truly an honor to attend the opening ceremony of the Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC25) in Malaysia — the world’s largest gathering of investigative journalists. This year, I am grateful to receive The Examination scholarship once again, allowing me to participate for the second time. It is a meaningful recognition in my professional journey.
Being part of this conference is giving me the opportunity to learn directly from global investigative reporters — their experiences, strategies for overcoming challenges, innovative investigative techniques, and the power of international collaboration. This learning will surely add new strength and direction to my work.
Around the world, investigative journalists continue to face attacks, lawsuits, threats, and various forms of pressure while exposing political powers, business interests, and the wrongdoing of multinational corporations. Yet the fight to reveal the truth never stops.
